Instead cement asbestos, also known as eternit, is a material that cannot be recovered and that can be very dangerous according to its storage condition. It is extremely harmful to health and to the environment. Asbestos is dangerous because it has the ability to break down into microscopically thin fibers that can enter the body through breathing, thus causing severe diseases particularly affecting the respiratory system.

If you notice the presence of asbestos, you should first report it to the local ASL, in order to ask for an intervention by ARPA, which will measure through an appropriate tox screen the quantity of asbestos in the environment and determine if it goes over the limits established by law.

Therefore, these materials cannot be managed as ordinary urban waste.
